A makeup maven dumps her bag!

Makeup artist, Maria Zavala first shared what it’s like working the Victoria’s Secret Show the second year in a row, now she shares with us what we are really curious to find out: what’s in her makeup bag. Surprisingly, not that much.

Now, let’s find out what’s in that bag!

Shadine Ménard:  What is the #1 product you will go out without wearing?

Maria Zavala: Mineralize satinfinish SPF 15 foundation by MAC

During the hottest months of the year, how do we stay fresh faced, beautified without worrying about melting and re-applying in the sweltering heat? Ms. Zavala has the answer: keep it simple!

Maria's bag contents

S.M.:  How many cosmetic products do you normally carry in your bag? What are they?

M.Z.: Not many….blot pressed powder by MAC, concealer (if it’s going to be a long night) and lip balm or lip gloss

“I typically apply makeup that I know will stay for the time frame that I need it to so all I really carry is a blot powder and lip gloss. Unless I have a smoky look and I know I’m staying out longer so then I’ll carry concealer just in case.”

Maria Zavala is HIP because she’s smart enough to use makeup to make her own path without letting makeup mask her.

I will bring you more pieces like this that have quick and simple makeup tips and revelations.

BIJ: Use blotting sheets to control oily sheen. You can also just brush a small amount of bronzing powder on your cheekbones and t-zone just to give your face a beautiful, healthy, golden glow when going out.

Its like you read my mind! You appear to know a lot about this, like you wrote the book in it or something. I think that you can do with a few pics to drive the message home a bit, but instead of that, this is wonderful blog. An excellent read. I'll definitely be back.
